It is with a heavy heart that we deliver the news that the 2020 Crafthalf Half-Marathon & 5k Events are canceled.
It should go without saying but our top priority is always the enjoyment, health and safety of our participants, volunteers, staff, and spectators. We have been closely monitoring COVID-19 globally and locally. Our state has issued a recommendation to avoid situations that bring together more than 100 individuals. We cannot, in good conscience, put you or our community at risk hosting an event designed to bring upwards of 1,000 people together in one morning. We appreciate the support of our event partners, Foothills Brewing and OrthoCarolina, in making this difficult decision. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
We would like to extend two options for 2020 registrants.
Option 1: Defer to next year’s event, Crafthalf 2021.
Option 2: Transfer your registration to another Junction 311 Sports Event scheduled within one calendar year from now.
We are extending an additional offer to each of the registered participants affected by the event cancellation. A 50% race registration discount will be extended to each of you to use toward any Junction 311 owned event in the 2020 calendar year.
Please note, there is a deadline of April 1, 2020, to make your selection of DEFERRAL or TRANSFER. Persons that do not select an option will be DEFERRED to 2021.
As is our policy for all of our events, we will not be offering refunds. Junction 311 Endurance Sports is a locally-owned small business that works hard to deliver large scale, great experiences for our runners. Our team’s passion and care translate to spending a great amount of time, effort and money to prepare for your event long before you have even clicked the “register now” button. We hope you understand that we are doing everything we can to abate the losses that this unusual circumstance has created for all of us. We love to keep you happy and we hope keeping you racing in the near future will do so!
To Defer to Crafthalf 2021:
Click “manage my registration” from your race confirmation and select DEFER. If you need your race confirmation re-sent, please email email@example.com
All deferred registrations will be automatically registered for the 2021 event. No additional payment or steps required. We will generate an email from the registration site, confirming your 2021 registration, once registration officially opens.
To Transfer Events:
We invite you to choose a different Junction 311 Endurance Sports owned race that occurs between March 13 of 2020 and March 13 of 2021. A list of events can be found at http://junction311.com. The credit from your current event will apply directly to the selected event registration. To transfer to a different race you must contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
To Get Your 50% Off Code:
On April 4, 2020, in honor of the date of the 2020 Crafthalf, we will email a code to ALL participants who deferred and all those who wrote in to transfer to another event. Codes will NOT be sent prior to that date.
We are truly sorry that the 2020 Crafthalf Events will not take place. We appreciate your patience as we try to take care of you, our dear friends, family, and community. This is a challenging time for us all. We are doing our very best to be proactive and fair.
In closing, we wish you good health, happiness and look forward to seeing you at our next event.
Special thank you for the support of the 2020 event sponsors. We invite you to support them as they support our running community.
